Each Grade offers challenges and opportunities to build and develop your abilities. These qualifications give you strong foundations enabling you to steadily progress towards excellence.
Acting, Shakespeare and Verse and Prose Examinations are ideal preparation for future auditions and a career in acting, but also open doors to great literature and a deep dive into varying aspects of the human condition.

Spoken English and Public Speaking Examinations provide excellent grounding for many careers which demand regular advocacy, client interaction, presentations, talks and participation in meetings and debates.

All these courses are about communicating in different ways, so you will learn not only about your particular discipline, but also focus on vocal skills and techniques.
Examinations are taken in person at venues around the country according to availability.

The Advanced Level Three Examinations include:
LAMDA ~ Grade 6 – Bronze, Grade 7 – Silver and Grade 8 – Gold Medals
Vanguard ~ Advanced Grades 1 and 2 and Silver and Gold Medals
These Examinations include most of the performance disciplines.

Top Examinations
• PCertLAM ~ LAMDA Performance Examination offers the opportunity to present a 25 minute performance which includes Acting, Prose and Verse on a linked theme.
There is a written component to this Examination.
• Vanguard Solo Performance Certificate ~ This examination requires a linked acting presentation, re-direction, an impromptu improvisation, sight reading and questions.

This is a particularly useful examination for audition practice.

All these Advanced LAMDA Examinations attract UCAS points.
